  • Procedures and rules The church of St. Benedict is a place of culture and worship. Respect seclusion by adopting appropriate behaviour.
The tour includes the ruines of a roman domus, the 18th century parlour, the Staircase of Angels – the main entrance to the church – and the Church of Saint Benedict.

The visit is assisted by the explanation of an audioguide, which takes about 40 minutes. So, it’s possible to visit the church in complete tranquility.

No, the monastery of St Benedict is still inhabited by the monastic community and out of respect for the enclosure it is not possible to cross the arch or visit the rooms used daily by the nuns.
Yes, you can take pictures and filmsfor personal uses, but without using a flash or professional equipment (for example, tripods). If you need an authorization for commercial purposes, please contact: benedettineviacrociferi@gmail.com

For individual visitors, small groups with an audio guide or groups already accompanied by a licensed tourist guide, no reservation is required.

Tickets include audio guide, you can find a link in the ticket office.

Tickets can only be purchased at the ticket office, via Teatro Greco 2.

At the ticket office there is a qrcode from which the user can access the direct link to the audioguide. If you do not have a qrcode reader on your smartphone, iPhone or tablet, you can use the link provided.

From a technical point of view, our audio guide is a webapp, so the user has the feeling of using a mobile app (they can also add the icon on their device) but it does not take up memory space on the device.
To promote museum accessibility, the audio guide is available in both audio and text format.

Warning! For the audio guide to work properly, your device must be connected to the data line.

The reception staff will be happy to help you if you have any difficulties opening the audio guide.

The museum is a member of the Catania card circuit, currently suspended by the Catania City Council. Unfortunately, there are no cumulative tickets with other sites in the city, but the purchase of the ticket entitles the holder to discounts on initiatives indicated from time to time by the ticket office staff.
